An integrated Building Services Engineering team, part of a large international multi-disciplinary group, has received a huge increase in workload in London, and are looking for a lead mechanical engineer to represent the business to their existing clients In London and grow a team.
The Company
The current Building services team is based in eh home counties of London and they have a team of 17 Mechanical and Electrical Building Services Engineers. The larger group has multiple offices around the world and operates across a wide range of sectors and specialisms. This allows the internal team to network with each other and increases revenue through the internal network rather than source new work externally. Other disciplines they house include commissioning, civil engineering, structural engineering,
The Role
This is not a sale focussed role but requires you to be a confident client facing engineer. The company already has a huge pipeline, existing clients, and a large internal network to bring enough work to justify the growth of the London team to 10 engineers. You’ll be required to work with this existing client base, submit fee proposals, handling Requests for Proposals (RFP’s), and negotiate fees when required. In turn, you can expect to grow a pipeline, then grow a team, and be rewarded with a. promotion to a director with the benefits of increased basic and bonuses. You’ll have access to the design delivery resource that already exists and will not be left alone.
