The Company

This is a firm of Building Services Consulting Engineers established in 1998, formed on the principle of a personalised, responsive service, backed-up by innovative and sound technical knowledge. They have achieved controlled growth year-on-year built largely on repeat commissions from a loyal and diverse client base, in both the public and private sectors.

In the residential sector, they have delivered and consulted on many multi-occupancy apartment buildings, developed for private sale, shared equity, or rental. They also have proven experience in undertaking complex design projects within the healthcare sector, including hospice refurbishment and extension, with minimal disruption to front line services.

This firm has been commissioned as part of the project team on many Commercial and Industrial projects; from office developments and Data Centres to large factory fit-outs and Distribution Centres. Their experience with blue-chip retailers, allows them to advise during the early stages in terms of Utility design allowing applications to be made securing supplies at early stages, and ensuring cost viability.

The Position

As an Associate Mechanical Engineer, your journey will involve everything from initial surveys and design to site supervision and project completion. This position offers a unique chance to contribute to the success of projects and shape your role as your office expands.

Principal Duties:

·        Undertake surveys of Building Services systems.

·        Develop Mechanical Services designs to suit client requirements.

·        Undertake site progress visits and snagging inspections.

·        Undertake project management and contract administration duties.

·        Develop asset registers, technical due diligence, and planned maintenance reports.

·        Coordinate with team members to meet project programs.

·        Liaise with the leadership team to achieve business objectives.

·        Tutor/mentor other team members as required.

Your Talents:

They are looking for a positive, proactive, and self-motivated individual with excellent communication skills and attention to detail.


·        Minimum HNC Building Services Engineering.

·        Member of a relevant professional institution (IET/CIBSE) or working towards it.

·        Experience in a Building Services Consultancy environment at a similar level to this role.
