The Company

This is a Limited Liability Partnership where the Partners are practicing engineers.
Each Partner holds complete responsibility for all projects under their care and
personally directs teams of chartered engineers, specialists, engineers,
graduates, and technicians. This personal involvement and their ability to quickly
respond to client needs is what sets this consultancy apart.

With over 500 technical staff covering a wide range of disciplines, they can
swiftly provide local staff with the required skills to meet the engineering needs
of any project, regardless of location.

The hands-on approach from Partners allows them to develop lasting
relationships which cascades down as an ethos to all levels of their business. This
level of understanding of their client’s aims and objectives allows them to deliver
engineering solutions that are fully aligned with the specific needs of each
project.

The Position

Due to an increasingly expanding workload, they are currently looking to appoint
a Senior Structural Engineer. The successful candidates will have a fantastic
opportunity to work in one of the UK’s leading private Engineering Consultancies
working for clients on a variety of projects spanning residential, commercial,
medical and industrial sectors in new build and refurbishment.

Key responsibilities:

Technical lead on projects large and small.
Liaise with and lead other members of the design team to achieve a
coordinated design solution that meets the Clients objectives.
Structural engineering assessment and inspection of new and existing
properties in steel, concrete, masonry, and timber.
Undertake analysis and design using a range of software packages.
Ensure that quality and consistency of technical output (drawings, reports, etc.) is maintained.
Prepare high-quality technical reports including structural surveys.

Qualifications & Experience

Bachelor’s or Masters Degree in Structural Engineering
Chartered or near Chartered status (MICE or MIStructE).
Varied experience in all the common forms of construction and building
types.
Experience in the use of Eurocodes.
Excellent report writing, communication, and numerical skills are required.
Experience in structural analysis design and software essential.
Minimum of 5 years experience
