Mechanical Engineer who wants exposure, responsibility, and fast-tracked

The Position

As a Senior Structural Engineer, you will be undertaking work on a broad range
of both Midlands-based and UK schemes. The portfolio of projects ranges from
new aspiring award-winning retail developments and, major refurbishment and
repurposing residential and commercial opportunities to, advanced
manufacturing and industrial units and, education developments.

As an integral member of the diverse team, you’ll have the opportunity to play a
major role in delivering schemes across a huge range of sectors.

You’ll be working collaboratively with the team to create structural designs and
analyze building Project Lifecycle Role: Integral part of project delivery from
inception through handover and beyond.

Some of your duties include but are not limited to:

Creative Design: Create innovative 3D designs, drawings, and specifications
using software.

Report Writing: Produce high-quality written reports for various audiences,
ensuring timeliness and accuracy.

Multidisciplinary Collaboration: Work within an integrated team to present
ideas and designs.

Safety and Sustainability: Prioritise health, safety, and sustainability in
project work.

Collaboration: Interact with architects, clients, and the design team to develop
efficient structural solutions.

Leadership Development: Support and mentor junior team members,
supervise design staff, and verify their work.

Ideally, you will have the following qualifications, experience or skills:

You’ve got a relevant civil or structural engineering degree
You’ve achieved chartership, or are working towards becoming a chartered
structural engineer
You like to take an innovative and creative approach to structural design
and are always eager to explore new techniques and ideas
You have a great understanding of the CDM Regulations and designer’s
responsibilities and can show experience working with British Standards
You’ve got excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the
ability to deliver complex and technical information to engineers and non-
engineers alike
You’ve developed exceptional planning, organizational, and time
management skills, with the capability to balance tasks and prioritize to
meet tight deadlines
