The Position

They are seeking a fully experienced Principal Mechanical Engineer with the
ability to inspire others. You will have a minimum of seven years of industry
experience with the ability to run medium to large-sized projects and undertake a
client-facing role in the development, design, and co-ordination of engineering
projects.

Main duties include but are not limited to:

Run large projects, leading the development, design, and coordination of
Mechanical engineering project services across diverse building types.
Develop applications of controls, instruments, and systems for building
engineering services.
Conduct surveys, tests, and dilapidation reports on existing mechanical
installations.
Ensure manufacturing, construction, and installation align with
specifications and requirements.
Liaise directly with clients, provide advice, and represent the company in
technical meetings.
Lead coordination of engineering services and make day-to-day project
progress decisions.
Uphold engineering standards, industry regulations, and legal
requirements.
Take a holistic approach to engineering concepts and solutions.

What you need:

BSc/BEng or equivalent in the relevant engineering discipline.
MCIBSE/MIEE or HNC/HND plus experience or equivalent.
Progressing towards Chartered Eng status.
Substantial specification design experience for multiple building types.
Strong grasp of Health and Safety issues and regulations.
Proficiency in MS Office applications and IT-based calculation software.
Familiarity with BS standards, UK Regulations, and Codes.
Prioritization and deadline management skills.
Managerial and presentation skills.
Background in consulting or construction preferred.
Understanding of international business operations and ethics principles.
